Jerry
Reen
Managing Principal
Jerry
Reen was the founding principal of Financial Solutions Partners
in late 2002. He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s
development since it’s founding in 2002 and leads the strategic
direction of the firm and oversees all investment, stable value
wrap and implementation functions. The firm is dedicated to life
insurance solutions applied to benefits, especially in the context
of BOLI and COLI.
Prior
to founding FSP, Mr. Reen was President of Winklevoss LLC, where
he led the BOLI team for seven years. He traded structured mortgage
products at Morgan Stanley from 1990 through 1993. Mr. Reen received
his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his MBA in
Finance from Columbia Business School between his years at Morgan
Stanley and Winklevoss.
Mr.
Reen has been the creative force behind significant innovations
in the BOLI marketplace since 1997, especially in the structuring
of superior asset strategies, contractual cost guarantees and carrier
representations and warranties. Mr. Reen has negotiated directly
with major carriers to construct policies that reflect these innovations.
Mr.
Reen’s BOLI experience covers needs analysis, insurable interest
determination, financial analysis and OCC 2002-23 and more recently
OCC 2004-56, compliance consulting to the client prior to the client’s
decision to purchase. Mr. Reen has been responsible for the implementation,
including negotiation on the client’s behalf prior to final
funding, the coordination of employee census and employee consents.

George
Fehlhaber
Principal
George
Fehlhaber was a founding principal of Financial Solutions Partners.
He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s development
since it’s founding 2002 and oversees all accounting, regulatory
and client service functions.
Prior
to FSP, Mr. Fehlhaber was with Wells Fargo & Co for 23 years
in various senior finance roles, reporting directly to the Chief
Financial Officer. Mr. Fehlhaber’s duties included treasury,
investments, derivatives, product development, company-wide ALCO,
transfer pricing, profit planning, and short term earnings forecasting,
and M&A. Mr. Fehlhaber was most recently the Senior Vice President
in charge of the company’s Strategic Investments, and prior
to that he was Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Wells Fargo
& Co.
Mr. Fehlhaber implemented a significant-size separate account BOLI
in 1999. In 2000, Mr. Fehlhaber renegotiated, with external advice,
two existing significant-size separate account BOLIs. In 2000, Mr.
Fehlhaber exchanged a sizable block of several general account BOLIs
into a single separate account under IRC Section 1035. Mr. Fehlhaber
was directly responsible for the analysis of financial, accounting,
capital and regulatory impacts, coordination with human resources
and tax, engagement of the external advisor, and the ultimate BOLI
purchase decision. Mr. Fehlhaber, through one of his departments,
was also responsible for the ongoing accounting and reconciliation
of the BOLI programs. Mr. Fehlhaber’s significant experience
as a purchaser of BOLI has been exclusively in the bank market.
Mr. Reen served as the external advisor to Mr. Fehlhaber on these
transactions.
Mr. Fehlhaber graduated from Michigan State University with a B.Sc.
in Mathematics, with High Honors. He was a four-year National Merit
Scholar. Mr. Fehlhaber also holds a M.A. in Mathematics and an M.B.A.
in Finance, both from the University of California, Berkeley. He
was a five-year recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship
in Mathematics.

Jamie
Corbin
Principal
Jamie
Corbin was a founding principal of Financial Solutions Partners.
He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s development
since its founding 2002 and acts as the firm’s Chief Operating
Officer.
As an industry veteran with 26 years experience in the financial
services industry, Mr. Corbin has held senior management positions
with responsibilities in product design, roll-out and ongoing support.
Prior to FSP, Mr. Corbin was Vice President for AmerUs Group where
he started a bank distribution group in 1997 focusing on annuity
and life insurance products. Mr. Corbin also held senior management
positions at the Laughlin Group and Marketing One, both of Portland
OR. During his time at these companies, he oversaw and was responsible
for product distribution in excess of $7 Billion of insurance and
investment products.
Mr. Corbin has started and led several distribution strategies from
the formation stage. He introduced the first successful proprietary
variable annuity to be distributed through a bank in 1996. He also
led Laughlin Direct, which became the fifth largest wholesaler of
retail annuity products to banks in 1996.

Jerry
Reen, Sr.
Principal
Jerry Reen, Sr. was a founding principal of Financial Solutions
Partners. He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s
BOLI implementation procedures since its founding 2002 and acts
as the firm’s ambassador to various bank association groups.
His twenty-five years of Human Resource experience from both inside
a large corporation to marketing, implementing and servicing role
as a BOLI/COLI provider, gives an important perspective to meeting
client needs. As an HR Specialist at WR Grace & Co., to ultimately
the Vice President of Compensation & Benefits at GTE Corp. (now
Verizon), Mr. Reen, Sr. has a wide range of Human Resource experience.
Prior to FSP, Mr. Reen, Sr. was employed by Winklevoss LLC, most
recently as its Vice President of Client Support Services. His responsibilities
included employee communications for BOLI programs.
Mr. Reen, Sr. earned a B.A. from St. Johns University and took advanced
studies in business from New York University.

Ken
Nguyen Ken
Nguyen is Managing Director of Fixed Income Strategies and Analysis.
He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2005.
Mr.
Nguyen began his career with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1996
in the tax-exempt municipal funds area. He later spent 2 years with
Bankers Trust. In 1999, he joined the Dreyfus Corporation fixed
income group. He spent 2 years heading the risk and analytics for
the taxable fixed income desk. He was responsible for relative value
analysis, hedging, modeling, return attribution as well as other
quantitative projects for the team. In 2002, he became an intermediate
portfolio manager for the taxable fixed income team that managed
$8 billion across 40 mutual funds and separate accounts. He has
experience in managing short-duration funds, high yield funds, and
mortgage-dedicated funds.
At FSP, Ken is responsible for reviewing investment performance
of the mortgage funds, product structuring, as well as providing
detailed monthly analysis performance with respect to volatility,
convexity, yield curve, spreads, and other market dynamics.
Mr. Nguyen attended Seton Hall University and graduated with an
accounting degree. He later obtained an MBA from Montclair State
University with a Finance/Economic concentration. He has a total
of 11 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Brian
Burke Brian
Burke is Managing Director with responsibilities in Pre-and Post-Purchase
BOLI Analysis, Implementation and Contracting. He joined Financial Solutions
Partners in 2005.
Mr.
Burke brings over 29 years of experience in corporate and banking transactions,
mainly in the area of employee benefit finance. Mr. Burke was a co-founder
and principal of the Gunderson Group Inc. in Westport, Connecticut where
he provided consulting and management services with respect to proprietary
tax and financial strategies for large corporations in the U.S from 1996
until joining FSP. Through a Gunderson engagement, Mr. Burke acted as
Managing Director at Clark Consulting, Executive Benefits Practice from
1999 to 2004. Prior to Gunderson Group, Mr. Burke co-founded Winklevoss
Consultants in 1987 and was senior vice president until 1996. During his
time at Winklevoss Consultants, he had primary responsibility for the
placement and service of approximately $1.5 billion in COLI/BOLI premium
among 30 major corporations and banks.
From 1981 to 1986, Mr. Burke was vice president of Johnson & Higgins
in their New York and San Francisco offices where he developed, marketed
and administered executive compensation plans funded with corporate-owned
life insurance. From 1978 to 1981, Mr. Burke served as assistant vice
president of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
Mr.
Burke earned his B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University and his J.D.
from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is also a member
of the Connecticut and New York Bar Associations.

Matt
Henofer
Matt Henofer is Managing Director for Pre- and Post-Purchase BOLI Analysis
and Implementation. He joined Financial Solutions Partners in 2005.
Mr. Henofer brings a rare cross-discipline training to his role as a technical
advisor to senior corporate executives. Always in real terms, he communicates
the technical insurance expertise he has gained through his background
in actuarial science. Simultaneously, he shares a view of the transaction
and the impact of various funding options through the eyes of a Wall Street
analyst. Matt single-handedly established Westport’s Design &
Analysis department. This growing department continues to follow the client-focused
standards Matt put into place during his tenure as director. He developed
his client relationship skills while at Actuarial Sciences Associates.
There, he supported major insurance clients, including one contracting
the development of a large administration system. He interacted with his
customers by managing business fact-finding sessions, providing tax and
business specifications, defining system specifications, and projecting
system results.
The experience he gained in the product development area at Penn Mutual
enables him to work effectively with Westport’s Design & Analysis
and Product Development teams to customize the products clients use to
finance their unique executive benefits and estate plans.
Admitted as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Mr. Henofer is also
a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a Certified Fund
Specialist, a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, and holds a BS
in Actuarial Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University

Jeff
Lee
Jeff Lee is Managing Director of Client Services. He joined Financial
Solutions Partners in 2006.
Mr. Lee had been Co-founder and Vice President at Finaplex, Inc.,
a portfolio management software firm focused on performance measurement,
portfolio accounting, and investment management for large banks
and brokerages to service their high net worth clients, since 2000.
He was CFO for the first three years of the startup and later held
positions running Product Management, Product Development and Professional
Services.
Mr. Lee also had a 10 year career with Wells Fargo where his last
position from 1997 to 2000 was as Senior Vice President, Asset/Liability
manager, responsible for firm-wide interest rate risk management.
He also had responsibility for market risk across all of the trading
desks in the firm and his team developed Value-at-Risk models for
FX trading, Derivatives trading, Investment Portfolio and High Yield
Portfolio. Mr. Lee acted as the primary representative for the Bank
to the OCC, Federal Reserve and KPMG in the areas of market risk,
interest rate risk and derivatives policy.
Mr. Lee’s experience also covers an extensive background in
the mortgage banking industry with positions at Wells Fargo in its
Secondary Marketing department and Countrywide Funding Corporation
in its Strategic and Financial Planning department.
Mr. Lee received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of
Alberta, and an M.B.A. in Finance from University of Oregon where
he was awarded the Oregon Honors and Chiles scholarships.

Don
Shelden
Don Shelden joined FSP as a BOLI Marketing Consultant in 2006.
Mr. Shelden has sold specialized life insurance products and pension
asset and liability services to large corporate employers for over
30 years. Mr. Shelden was a co-founder and principal of the Gunderson
Group Inc. in Westport, Connecticut where he provided consulting
and management services with respect to proprietary tax and financial
strategies for large U.S. corporations since 1996. Mr. Shelden consulted
as a managing director at Clark Consulting, Executive Benefits Practice
from 1999 to 2004. Mr. Shelden co-founded Winklevoss Consultants
in 1987 where he served as senior vice president until 1996.
From 1985 to 1987 he was senior vice president of marketing for
Buck Consultants where he sold pension asset and liability stochastic
modeling consulting services to major corporate plan sponsors.
Mr. Shelden was vice president, life and pension marketing at Johnson
& Higgins in San Francisco where he sold pension asset and liability
stochastic modeling studies to major corporate plan sponsors. From
1977 to 1982, Mr. Shelden was a sales representative of Mutual of
New York and Connecticut Mutual Life. |

Roger
Ashworth
Mr.
Ashworth is the newest addition to FSP, joining the firm in 2007. His
primary job role is the pre- and post-purchase analysis of BOLI portfolios.
He most recently was a mortgage backed securities trader for Merrill Lynch.
While at Merrill, Mr. Ashworth traded non-agency MBS product. He gained
extensive experience in the primary securitization, deal cash flow structuring,
and secondary trading of several mortgage types including fixed rate mortgages,
hybrid ARMs, and option ARMs with both Alt-A and Jumbo Prime credit ratings.
His job role their also included conducting in-depth credit analysis of
mortgage pools in order to securitize and trade subordinate class certificates.
Prior to this experience, he was a submarine officer and nuclear engineer
in the US Navy for five years. During this period he also spent time as
a sonar instructor to other officers at the Naval Submarine School.
Mr.
Ashworth graduated the United States Naval Academy in 1998 with a BS in
Systems Engineering. He also graduated from Georgetown University with
an MBA after completing his military commitment.
